Earlier today my whole family went out to Philadelphia to audition for a Campbell's soup commercial. It was mostly for my mom's benefit, since it's she's an actress and the casting call was only accepting families. We got there at about noon and ended up hanging out in a hallway until we got called in. They did a little practice run and then told us to leave. I think they'll call if we got the parts but I don't know when. I'm also a little scared about the whole thing. If we don't get the part, Mom has to find work somewhere else, but if we do, it's back to Philadelphia, and I end up on TV. For some people, it's a dream come true, but I'm camera shy. When I was younger, I thought it sounded like fun to be an actress, but now I'm not so sure. The casting director wanted to know what my sister and I wanted to do later in life. I said journalism, and she said singing. I love to sing, but I want to keep it as a hobby. The casting director asked my sister to sing, but she didn't. Later, Mom told us both that when a casting director tells you to sing, you sing. Then she said we both could have sang for him, but neither of us were comfortable with that. I used to want to be famous for my singing, but I don't anymore. I don't want to end up like Miley Cyrus. People tell me she's stupid and I'm not, but I'd still rather not take any chances. Plus, I cave under pressure way too easily, and being a celebrity involves a LOT of pressure. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that if I get this part, the Campbell's Soup company is going to own my soul for all of eternity.
